Two-factor authentication and recovery codes
Protect your account, and get back in if you lose your phone.
Settings → Security → Enable two-factor authentication and scan the key with an authenticator app. You then receive 10 recovery codes — store them somewhere safe. If you lose your phone, choose Use a recovery code when signing in; each code works once. You can generate a new set at any time (this cancels the old codes). If you have neither your phone nor a code, contact support.
